SAG Awards Nominations: The Complete List




The nominees for the 18th annual SAG Awards were announced on Wednesday, Dec. 14. The Help led with four nominations, earning a leading role nomination for Viola Davis who plays the maid Aibileen Clark, supporting noms for Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer, and a motion picture ensemble nom.



Other films nominated for best motion picture ensemble include The Artist, The Descendants, Midnight in Paris and Bridesmaids.

For the television nominations, ABC’s Modern Family leads total of five nods, including outstanding comedy ensemble. Dexter and 30 Rock follow with three nominations each.


The 18th annual SAG Awards will take place on Sunday, Jan. 29.

Screenings are limited to AMPAS and guild members and invited guests only. Screening information is provided by distributors.

New or updated listing information for the Awards Screening Guide should be submitted to asg@hollywoodreporter.com. Please send your listings grouped by film title and make sure you include a RSVP phone number, e-mail address, or link to an online form. Also, please include the street address for all theaters.

All online screening information will be continuously updated. Updates should be submitted no later than two days before to the screening to ensure that the correct information is displayed prior to the screening.

Casting: "Rise of the Apes"

With the Fox prequel Rise of the Apes (directed by Rupert Wyatt) getting ready to start filming this July, it looks like the production is looking for both principal actors and extras to star in the movie.

But before you get all excited that you can play an ape, as we’ve previously reported, Fox is using Weta for the Ape effects as they’re going CGI rather than men in suits. Yeah, I don’t agree with the decision either.

But if you still want to be in the movie, you should know it’s filming at Mammoth Studios in Burnaby, BC and all around Vancouver. The shoot is scheduled to go from July 5 – September 30 and the film is getting released June 24, 2011. Hit the jump for more info:

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Broken in to Two Parts

It’s long been rumored, even assumed, that Summit would separate the final chapter of their vampire franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, into two parts — it’s finally official by way of press release. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, and Kellan Lutz are all set to reprise their roles in the fourth and fifth Twilight films.

Bill Condon (Dreamgirls) will direct both parts, with production set to commence this fall. The first Breaking Dawn film is set for release on November 18, 2011, while The Twilight Saga: Eclipse hits theaters on June 30, 2010. Hit the jump for the official press release.
